Villabassa: SUV driver (29) dies in
collision with truck
On the bypass road of
Villa-bassa
a momentous accident happened on Tuesday evening: An SUV and a
truck collided there in a slight curve. Driver and passenger of
the SUV were trapped in the wreckage and seriously injured: The
29
-year-old driver died at the scene of the accident.
The
alarm
was received at
7:30
pm. Paramedics and
emergency
doctor of the White Cross rushed to the accident site, as well
as the volunteer fire departments of Villabassa, Dobbiaco and
Wels-
berg.
To them a picture of the destruction offered itself:
The SUV of the mark BMW was most heavily damaged, the 29-year
old driver and its

ear old female passenger in it trapped. [..] Passengers from
incoming vehicles had tried to render first aid. But only the
volunteer fire departments were able to free the two with the
help of hydraulic recovery equipment. For the 29-year-old, a
Turkish citizen, all help came too late. Despite all efforts,
the emergency doctor was left with only the duty of ascertaining
his death. [..] The truck driver, a
